Mind sports seminar in Urmia City
According to the public relations report of the Mind Sports Committee of the O-Sport Association of I.R Iran (OSAIRI Mind Sports Committee), Urmia will host a Mind sports seminar for Draughts, Go/ Baduk, Dooz/ Morabaraba, Guandan Card Games on May 16.
The OSAIRI Mind Sports Committee has started its work since 2014 with the Mind sports of Go/ Weiqi/ Baduk (a Mind sport of Korea, China and Japan), Draughts (a European Mind sport) and Dooz / Morabaraba (an Iranian Recognized mind sport) and has so far won various medals in various continental and global competitions.
According to the available documents, the OSAIRI Mind Sports Committee is the most developed national institution of Mind sports in Central and Western Asia and the Central and Western Asia regional office of the above-mentioned disciplines is located in Hamedan city the first Capital of the Iranian empire and one of the oldest city of the world.
Dr. Mohammad Ghasem Manouchehri, a teacher and founder of the Iranian Mind Sports Committee, is the founder of the Mind disciplines of Go, Draughts and Doze or Morabaraba in Iran. Dr. Manouchehri has been working as a member of the board of directors of the Asian Go Federation (AFG) since 2015, and as the executive chairman of the Draughts Association of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (DASCO) since 2022 and the President of the International Dooz Committee, and as the chairman of the World Mind Sports Committee of the General Association of World Sports Federations (GAWSF) since 2023. Dr. Manouchehri is Professional Card Games and developing Guandan in the west and central Asia.
